World Missions

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them

in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.”

(Matthew 28:19)

 

Our Commitment:

As followers of Christ, we’re committed to sharing the living hope of Jesus with the whole world.  God has the people of the world on His heart, and He asks each of us to work with Him to touch them with His love.  In fact, the calling to “take the whole Bible to the whole world” has been the driving passion of our parent denomination (the Christian & Missionary Alliance) since it’s beginning.  In light of this, we are committed to supporting the world wide advance of the Gospel in the following ways:

1) Educating: We’re committed to educating ourselves and others about un-reached people groups around the world, and about on-going missionary efforts to reach them.  Toward this end we sponsor an annual Missions Conference during which we have the opportunity to learn from visiting missionaries firsthand.

2) Praying: We’re committed to praying for un-reached peoples , and the missionaries who are laboring to reach them.  Toward this end, we systematically emphasize prayer for specific countries and regions  each month.

3) Giving:  We’re committed to giving our financial resources to support missionaries and their work around the world.  Toward this end we encourage regular giving to the Great Commission Fund and sponsor an annual pledge drive for that purpose. 

4) Going:  We’re committed to going on short-term mission trips, both nationally and internationally, in order to give on-sight assistance in the work of fulfilling the Great Commission.  Toward this end we try to send out at least one mission team each year.

5) Sending:  We’re committed to raising up and sending out workers for the harvest from within our midst.  Toward this end we try to prayerfully identify, equip, and release for the Kingdom those individuals whom God is calling into missionary work.
