“And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others.” (2 Timothy 2:2)
The Living Hope School of Ministry exists to help equip and raise-up qualified and capable leaders for Christ-centered ministry in the church, the community and the world. Based upon the model of how Jesus trained the Twelve, our School of Ministry combines theological education through the curriculum of the C&MA’s Church Leadership Academy with hands-on, practical ministry development under the supervision of the local church leadership. Two program options are available:
The Basic Training Program: The goal of the basic training program is to teach people in the local congregation to minister effectively in their respective church, community, and occupational settings. The year long curriculum introduces students to the basics of scripture knowledge, Bible study methods, doctrinal issues, and ministry skills. These areas of learning are combined with hands-on assignments and class discussion to help students put what they’re learning into practice for the Lord.
The Ministerial Study Program: The goal of the ministerial training program is to raise-up servant/leaders for the Church in the 21st Century. This three year program is designed for those who feel God’s call to full-time ministry upon their lives, and fulfills the academic requirements of the Christian & Missionary Alliance for licensing and ordination. Two emphases are available: 1) The Church Ministry Focus is designed to train individuals for service as pastors and leaders in the local church. 2) The Church Planting Focus is designed to impart the skills needed for those who will be involved in starting a new church.
* * * Detailed course information and student applications for both the Basic Training Program and the Ministerial Study Program are available through the church office. |
